A night with Jimmy Carr!

Hey everyone!

Last Saturday myself and Craig went to see Jimmy Carr at the Hammersmith Apollo, I brought tickets for Craig to go and see him as a Christmas present, so if he didn't take me there would've been A LOT of trouble! Which is understandable right?

We had both been looking forward to this for ages, well, since Christmas, because with Craig's job it is very rare that we get to spend a whole day with each other at the weekend! (Word of advice kids.. Never date a chef)..

We decided that it would only be right to make a whole day of it, so we decided to get the train to London fairly early so we could have a few drinks and something to eat beforehand without it feeling like that we were rushing. Whenever we go to London for some reason our first stop is always Covent Garden, so naturally, we went there first! There is just something about Covent Garden that I love and I don't think I would ever get bored of it?

Our first stop was this amazing cocktail bar called 21. When you walk in there is such a divine smell of Italian food being cooked and the cocktails are amazing! They have two outdoor terraces. We've only ever sat on the one which looks out over the street entertainers!

After having a few drinks there it was time to make our way to see Jimmy Carr at the Apollo. Which was absolutely amazing! I don't know whether Jimmy Carr's sense of humour would be to everyones taste, but i absolutely love him! One word of advice is to never EVER ask a question or have any involvement in the heckling part of the show that some comedians do, because they will literally go in to you.

We had such a lovely day and night, as it's not something that we get to do very often, so i thought it would be nice to do a post like this as it gives me something to look back on and I like sharing things like this with you!

Who's your favourite comedian?

Reflection..

This isn't my usual kind of blog post, but I am having one of those nights where you just think and look back on things. (One reason for me doing this is because I cannot sleep because of the loud music outside!) As most of you will know now, I am coming to the end of my time at uni which is literally the most scariest thing, and exciting at the same time.. If you have been to uni I am sure you will understand what I mean, when you have mixed emotions. But anyway..

There has been SO much in the news recently, about young children, teenagers, doing really nasty things to their teachers, which just should not happen to anyone. One story in particular which has shocked a number of people is the Ann Maguire case, and a more recent one of two kids putting bleach in their teachers cup of tea.

If you are still at school and reading this, and your not loving it, you think teachers are mean, and really strict, and you are sick to death of people telling you that school is the best time of your life because you don't see how it is even possible. I used to think the EXACT same. When I first started secondary school I wasn't a fan, I'm not going to lie, I went to a catholic all girls school, and by the time I reached year 9 I just new that school was not for me. I'm a very creative person.. Its completely fine to be like that and so I was lucky to be able to find a school after that which suited me perfectly which was going to a full time theatre school, so as well as the academic subjects I did vocational subjects 2 day a week which consisted off singing, acting and dancing.

I know, its not for everyone, and I know its not possible for everyone to go to a theatre school, but it is important that we all go to school and get as much out of it as you physically can, because if you don't you will regret it. I know it will not seem like that now. But 100% trust me on this one. When you are bored at school, or not enjoying it and you and your friends are mucking around, and your teacher tells you off, just remember they are not doing it to be horrible. They are doing it because they have your best interest at heart and they want you to do well in order to succeed. School is the first step, to the rest of your life, your career.

If you ask me or anyone I know, they will all say that they wish they were still at school. So do not wish it away. Enjoy every minute of it, make the most of it, don't make enemies with your teachers, be civil with them, make memories because you will be able to treasure them forever.  You may think that school, is pointless, boring, ect but in 5 years time after you have finished you won't. You will look back and be glad that you made the most of your school years, because believe me it goes by just like that!

Back to normality..:)

Hey Guys!!

Sorry I've been such a rubbish blogger at the minute.. Uni has literally been crazy! I've had so much work to do. I've finished my final major project now! (YAY)

It consisted of a 13 minute documentary, 10 minutes of audio, 36 images, and 4500 words.

My last deadline is on Friday. Its quite scary to think how quickly the last three years have gone and that soon I will be getting my first proper full time job. Something other than waitressing and bar work, which is scary but exciting.

I have been shopping recently. Been loving Primark at the minute. I never normally buy anything from there, which is probably down to the fact that it is always chaos! Especially the Oxford Street one in London. Anyway, I'm hoping to when I finish to do lots of outfit posts, maybe a haul. I want to spend more time blogging. What posts would you guys like to see?

Also I am doing race for life in 6 weeks time! So if you would like to sponsor me I would really appreciate it! you can do that HERE. I am raising money for Cancer Research. Any donation will help big or small and its for such an amazing cause.

Have any of you been doing exams? Or had lots of coursework?

My lip pet hate..

Hello Everyone! Hope your all okay :)

This is probably going to sound like a bit of a rant post.. However, its not intended to be so in advance I am very sorry if it is. I know most girls will agree with me when I say having dry, chapped lips is one of the worst things? If you think this, and get dry lips quite often then carry on reading...

Ever since about the age of 16 when my friend introduced me to this lip balm...

I have always gone out and brought it.. I've been using it a lot recently because for some reason my lips have been getting dry every few days.. One day they will be completely fine and then the next.. VOILA, they are dry again! SO frigging annoying. Anyway..

I used to think that Carmex was the best lip balm ever, no exaggeration. I used to love it. Theres something about the smell too. Im quite a big fan of it. However, the last few weeks when i've been using it on a daily basis. I've been some what disappointed with it and i've kind of lost my love for it? I don't feel that it works as good as what I need it to.

When I apply it to my dry lips. It sort of instantly makes them feel smooth and soft and completely normal, but then about an hour later after its worn of my lips they start to feel as if they are getting dry again.

I will probably carry on using this until I finish it, because I HATE wasting products too. But once I'm getting to the end of it I will think about purchasing something else within the lip balm department.

What Lip balms would you recommend?

Race for life.

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well. This is an unusual blog post and is going to be quite a short one. 3 years a go on Monday (just gone) I sadly lost my Grandma who was suffering from stomach cancer. Because of this, I am participating in race for life. I am SO unfit, so this is definitely going to be a challenge for me. If any of you want to sponsor me then I will leave the link below to my Just Giving page. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

As I start training for it I will probably start to do more healthy recipe ideas for you all and my training routine :) Let me know what you think! Are any of you doing race for life this year or have you done it?

New Look :)

Hello Everyone!

I know what your all thinking.. Where the hell have I been? If you've been following my blog for a while you will know that I am in my third year of uni! If you didn't know before you do now :) well anyway... How can I describe third year? Work work & more work. (Don't worry I have been going out too) But I haven't really brought anything new or been trying any new products.. BUT I went out this evening with my Mum for a cute little meal & I took a picture of what I was wearing so I thought I would blog about it...

Yes I did take the pictures on my phone instead of my Nikon. So I'm extremely sorry about the quality (and my odd socks! Do any of you wear odd socks or is it just me?) Anyway.. A few weeks ago when I popped into town with my friend she needed to take some stuff back to New Look. I've never really been a fan of New Look due to never finding things that I like in there, however, I found THIS top, for £9.99 which I thought was a complete bargain! Its so comfy and its just something you can wear for a casual look or if you wanted to dress it up a bit then you can wear it with disco pants and heels for a more comfy evening look.

When I was in New Look they also had some other nice items, however I had to resist.. But I might of brought a dress which Im completely in love with, so expect another outfit post quite soon. I teamed the top above with my urban outfitters disco pants. River Island cut out boots and my Zara bag for a casual evening look. :)

What have you been up to? What clothes have you recently brought?

My favourite perfume :) Valentines day gift idea..

 Hello Everyone!

Sorry I've done another disappearing act for a week or two! I have a deadline on Monday for my FMP at uni. So I'm sure you will be able to forgive me! Hope you are all okay anyway!

I am a huge perfume lover, I can't go a day without wearing any. As soon as I get out of the shower I spray some perfume on me. I just find that it completes my getting ready process. I personally think I have quite a big perfume collection, some which I brought years ago, and when I say years a go I mean it. Despite this, until now there hasn't been one that I absolutely love and would repurchase except for this little beauty. Which is a perfume by Chloe. I am literally in love with it. its such a fresh, amazing smell. Its one of those perfumes which you can wear day and evening. Its everything I ever want in a perfume. For a perfume I do think its quite expensive being £57.50, however, to me, it is definitely worth every penny.

If you are after a new perfume why not give this one ago? you can buy it HERE from Boots. Whats your favourite perfume? Leave me a comment in the box below with your beauty recommendations!

What I'm wearing - Zara polka dot dress #2

Hello Everyone! Hope your all well :)

I'm back at uni this week for my final ever term which is quite petrifying. However Im just going to work hard and do my best because once its all over there is no going back (eekkk), if any of you guys are in your final year and final term then I wish you all the very best of luck!

On Sunday night, it was my boyfriends work party. I have never been to one of his before so I wasn't too sure what to wear. I didn't really want to go out and buy anything because being a student, I can't really afford too.  However, my boyfriend (Craig) did get me a dress from Zara which I thought would be perfect for the occasion.

Zara polka dot dress - £15.99

Where it is quite cold in England at the moment especially at night, I thought the dress would be perfect as it has long sleeves, and you can wear the dress with tights. Im a sucker for clothes with a collar, so I absolutely LOVE this dress. You can dress it up or down, depending on occasion by teaming it with a pair of heels or a nice pair of flats/boots. Its such as a comfy dress too which makes you want to wear it all the time. So this dress is definitely going to be staying in my wardrobe for a long time!

Are there any dresses that you have seen on the high-street that you like?

Zara Bold & Blue..

Hello Everyone!

Its been a long time since I've done an outfit post. So I thought this week I would treat you all too one! Last night I went out for drinks with my friends to ave a little catch up and I thought I would wear one of my new tops which I got for Christmas from my parents.

I thought this top would go really nicely with some disco pants or a pair of black jeans, so I opted for the disco pants! I also teamed it with my gold chunky chain River Island necklace which I have worn in previous blog posts as I thought it would make the top more of a statement.

I love the colour of this top its such a bold, blue colour and really makes you stand out. I got so many compliments on it, and you can glam it up with accessories and heals and a nice black clutch bag.

Top - Zara ( Xmas present)
Black disco pants - Urban Outfitters (old) Similar HERE £12

As I've sprained my ankle (bad times) I couldn't wear heels last night so I wore my River Island cut out ankle boots instead which my boyfriend kindly got me for Christmas. With tops like this one you can either dress it up or down. So its good for a daytime outfit and then if you are going out for drinks in the evening you can dress it up too.

Did you get any clothes for christmas that you love? Would you like to see more outfit posts?

Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Oil

Hello Everyone :)

I went shopping a few weeks ago and ended up in the Body Shop as per usual, and I ended up purchasing quite a few bits and pieces. One of the items was the Vitamin E facial oil. Im a big fan of the Vitamin E range, I tend to use the BB cream and the moisturisers from the range and so I  decided to try something new, so I picked this out...

As i've mentioned a few times throughout my blog, my skin tends to get extremely dry throughout the colder months so its SO important for me to have a good skin care routine during the colder months. Usually my skin would be really dry by now, but it isn't, so I reckon, this Vitamin E facial oil is helping my skin. Normally I would take my make-up off with a face wash and whack a load of moisturiser on and massage it into my skin. Now I do exactly the same but I use this before I apply my moisturiser.

Where this product is an oil I would only ever use it at night in order for it to sink into my skin, and I wouldn't be too keen putting it on in the morning before doing my make-up ect as I would find it too greasy. The oil is a pipet application which makes it easy too apply. When I use it, I use two drops on each side of my face and then rub it in around the rest of my face.

When I first got this product I wasn't too sure about it as I hadn't really noticed it before, however, I am so glad I did decide to purchase it. If you do suffer from dry skin then I would definitely recommend to purchase it and give it a go as I do believe my skin has benefited from this.

Are there any products in the Body Shop you would recommend? What are you loving at the moment?

Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr cream gel eyeshadow: Review

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I've been so rubbish recently with blogging. I've started my third year at uni so things have been pretty hectic to say the least..:|

Recently I purchased the Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr cream gel eyeshadow! I'm not a big eyeshadow lover, if I do wear eyeshadow I will wear it on a night out, but not during the day. However I saw this one in boots for £4.99 and thought I would purchase it & I am completely loving it.

It has a really nice creamy texture to it as you would expect it to as its in the name. I've worn it quite a few times now, and it definitely doesn't last for 24hrs but that doesn't bother me too much. I purchased the colour "And On Bronze" and I love it, its quite a subtle colour, however it looks really nice for a more casual daytime look. They have 9 different shades in this range and I will definitely be purchasing some more!

Do you have a favourite eyeshadow?

Hey Everyone,

Here are a few beauty products which I have purchased recently and thought I would share them with you. :)

I've heard from loads of people that the Kate Moss lipsticks by Rimmel London are absolutely amazing and so good for the money that you pay for them, so I thought I would get on the bandwagon and purchase a few. I got the matte finish one because I loved this colour (110) I thought its such a lovely everyday lipstick colour. Its bright yet subtle which I like.

I also went on to purchase some dry shampoo. Its one of those essential items for me that I would not be able to live without now I've used it. I love the Batiste range especially this cherry one as it smells amazzinngg. I don't just use dry shampoo when Im in a rush and haven't got time to wash my hair I also use it on bad hair days when I feel my hair is very flat (one of my pet hates) as it tends to give my hair quite a bit of volume which I LOVE.

Im a sucker for going into Topshop every time I go shopping. Its just that one shop that even if I don't need anything from there I just NEED to go in there. Anyway, the last time i went into Topshop i purchased this new Illuminator which I absolutely love. It gives a really nice colour to your face when you put it on and gives you a really healthy glow which you definitely need in the winter months!

There is nothing worse for me than going on a night out with your friends, wearing your favourite heels, or just a pair of heels, and the next morning your feet are in absolute bits. The bottom of your feet are all dry and rough and they just need a bit of TLC, whilst browsing round Boots I saw that Soap & Glory did this Heel Genius cream/moisturiser so I thought i would buy it and give it a go. I am yet to try it so when I do, I will do a review about it and let you know what I think :)

Every girl needs a red lipstick in their life & after hearing great reviews about the Rimmel Kate Moss range I thought I would purchase this lovely red one too. :)

Are there any beauty products you have purchased recently? I would love to know!

Hi- Shine!

Hey everyone!

I've been so busy with work these last few weeks, but when I have had a few spare minutes to go onto my laptop I've been reading a few of my favourite blogs to see what products I can put on my never ending wish list! One item that I had to go out and buy as so many people have been raving about it is the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail varnish!

During the summer months I always think its nice to have lovely bright painted nails and they always look a whole lot better when you have a tan as well! I'm normally a big fan of the Topshop nail varnishes as I love all the different colours they have and their limited eddition ones too! However I thought it was time to give the Barry M ones a go and so far, I am really pleased with them :)

I thought I would purchase two of them. I chose the orangey/red coloured, (satsuma 327) one as I always go for this colour on my nails ( or something similar) & then I thought I would have a change and go for a pastel blue coloured nail varnish, (Blueberry 328) for a change to add to my never ending collection!

Barry M Hi-Shine Nail Varnish £3.99
As soon as I got home I thought I would give them a go & they are my new favourite. I've had it on for 3 days now and it hasn't chipped which I find happens a lot with the Topshop ones. They also have a really nice finish on your nails and you can get away with putting one coat of it on and its fast drying too. & for £3.99 you can't really go wrong? So I can deffinitely see myself buying a few more of these!

Have you got a favourite nail varnish or any you would reccomend?
