Clarins - My life saviour!

Since a young age, I've always suffered with dry skin. During my childhood I had really bad eczema and dry skin too. As I reached my teenage years it became more of a problem to me as I started to get paranoid about it and wanted to get rid of it & no matter what I tried nothing EVER seemed to work, it always worked to a certain extent and then tablets, creams ect wouldn't do anything. Luckily i've seemed to of grow out of it, but sometimes when I'm stressed or upset I will get it back a bit, I tend to get really bad skin during the colder months too & we get a lot of them in England.

I've been using these products for about 2 years now. Since i've been at uni I haven't been one for using expensive products, but I find if I don't then my skin will always be dry. Luckily I don't get spots & oily skin so Im lucky in that respect. When my skin is very dry I use the intensive serum and then I apply the cream afterwards. When my skin is good ( like it is now) I use the body lotion on my face and all over my body after a shower ect. If it wasn't for these products I don't know what I would do, so if you suffer with dry skin I would definitely recommend these products to you.

Do you suffer from dry skin? - If you do what do you find works for you?

Love Playsuit.

Hey everyone,

I've had a pretty busy week this week! It was my birthday on Monday so I am now officialy 22! & then I went to Pisa/Florence with my Mum for a few days so I will be doing a few blog posts relating to them within the next week hopefully!  What Im sharing with you now is one of the outfits that I actually wore in Italy as I thought you would all like it :)

Im a bit of a sucker for a playsuit I love them. I think there so girly and you don't have to decide for ages what top you are going to wear with it ect. This one I purchased in Topshop & is buy Love Label. I think Love Label do so many nice things & this playsuit is perfect for summer. You can either make it look casual or smart. I wore my white Vans with it but you can were sandals/flip flops or even wedges or heels. What ever you fancy!

Outfit of the day :)

How beautiful has the weather been recently, although it has been way too humid! I've never done an outfit of the day post before but after looking at different blogs they seem to be very popular so I thought I would get on the bandwagon :)

I took these pictures quickly yesterday just before I went out for a lovely pub lunch with my Mum & thought it was a nice casual day outfi to wear on nice summer days that we get in England or on holiday :) The white top is a really nice light material and with it being quite an oversized top its very cool to wear in the hot weather. I teamed it with my all time favourite vintage Levis shorts that I got a few years a go from Urban Outfitters! If your going for a casual look then you could wear either Converse or Vans with this outfit or if you are after a more of a girly look then some nice sandals or flip flops!  On cloudy days like today you could wear the top with skinny jeans & a jacket to go for a more smart/casual look.

Hi- Shine!

Hey everyone!

I've been so busy with work these last few weeks, but when I have had a few spare minutes to go onto my laptop I've been reading a few of my favourite blogs to see what products I can put on my never ending wish list! One item that I had to go out and buy as so many people have been raving about it is the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail varnish!

During the summer months I always think its nice to have lovely bright painted nails and they always look a whole lot better when you have a tan as well! I'm normally a big fan of the Topshop nail varnishes as I love all the different colours they have and their limited eddition ones too! However I thought it was time to give the Barry M ones a go and so far, I am really pleased with them :)

I thought I would purchase two of them. I chose the orangey/red coloured, (satsuma 327) one as I always go for this colour on my nails ( or something similar) & then I thought I would have a change and go for a pastel blue coloured nail varnish, (Blueberry 328) for a change to add to my never ending collection!

Barry M Hi-Shine Nail Varnish £3.99
As soon as I got home I thought I would give them a go & they are my new favourite. I've had it on for 3 days now and it hasn't chipped which I find happens a lot with the Topshop ones. They also have a really nice finish on your nails and you can get away with putting one coat of it on and its fast drying too. & for £3.99 you can't really go wrong? So I can deffinitely see myself buying a few more of these!

Have you got a favourite nail varnish or any you would reccomend?

Dinner at The Dorchester

Last month it was my boyfriends birthday, I wanted to do something special for him as it was the first birthday of his that I’ve spent with him. He is EXTREMELY hard to take out for a meal as he’s a very talented Head Chef & whenever we do go out for a meal he is so hard to please.

He had been saying to me that he would love to go to The Dorchester is one place that he has always wanted to go to, so I looked on the well-known TopTable (which have some amazing deals) and I booked a table at The Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane and I am so glad I did. They do special offers all throughout the week. We had their set menu which is £35 for 3 courses which is an amazing price for the quality of the food and service. You are supposed to get a glass of champagne included with that but I think they forgot but we felt rude to ask! However we did order a bottle of wine & 2 cocktails which were both amazzzzinngggg!!

If you are looking for some where to go for a special occasion and want very good food then I would highly recommend to go to The Dorchester, but it would be recommendable to save up some money before you go as it can be expensive! The total of our bill came to £115 including service, but for what we had and the quality of it I wouldn’t complain as there are so many places where I have eaten out and the bill has been around the same price and no where near as good!

It’s a place for a special occasion, would highly recommend!

Me & craig with our cocktails! Craig isn't very good at taking photos so I had to edit mine slightly!

Our amazing starters I had Asparagus & I've forgotten what craigs was but he said it was amazing! & they gave us a beetroot and makeral moose before our main starters came!

My main course, which was salmon and was cooked perfectly! For some reason I haven't got a picture of Craigs main course, but he had lamb shoulder which he loved!

The best part about any meal is the deserts! Before we got our actual deserts they gave us a sorbet type thing in order to clense out pallette which was really good and refreshing! I then had a bannana and lemon parfait with a coconut moose and craig had rhubarb and custard which came with honeycomb and a strawberry sauce which looked and tasted amazing!

I told the staff that it was Craigs birthday and after our desert they brought out the chocolate cake which looked amazing and wrote happy birthday on a plate for him as well which was a really nice touch. However we were too full to even attempt to eat it so they put it in a bag/box for us to take away with us. As you can see Craig seems very amused by the bag/box they gave us. Another year older but he doesn't act it unfortunately!

Quick, Easy, Kind of healthy meal.

This isn't the sort of blog post that I thought I would be doing when I started my blog, however, I am! I got inspiration for this whilst doing my uni work (which im drowning in a the moment because of deadlines). At the moment Im writing a feature for a magazine about "healthy eating on a budget" as most of us girls are looking forward to our holidays and want our bikini body back whilst saving so we have lots of spending money so the last thing we want to spend money on is food!

The ingredients you will need are these!
-Bacon ( 4/5 rashers depending on how meaty you want it to be make sure you cut it into small pieces)
- Mushrooms (4/5 sliced mushrooms again depending on how much you want)
- A handful of spinach
- Any pasta of your choice I used spaghetti
- Linguini
- Can or tin of tomatos
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Salt & Pepper to season.

First of all heat up some oil in a pan,  then add the garlic and bacon together cook until its brown. Whilst the bacon is cooking heat some water in a saucepan for the pasta, when the water is boiling add the pasta and leave it to cook.

Once the bacon has browned add the mushrooms and mix them in so they get the flavor of the garlic. once cooked add the spinach and let that cook then add the tin/carton of chopped tomatos and season with salt & pepper, if you like a bit of a kick to it add some chilli or crushed chillis to it.

Once the pasta is cooked add it to the sauce and mix it all in.  & you should end up with something like this...

It isn't the most attractive looking dishes which has ever been made, but it tastes really good and its rediculously easy to make and altogeher costs around £6/7 and theres bound to be some left over to have the next day for lunch or dinner! Give it a go and let me know what you think!

Reviews - Justin Bieber, Thriller Live & A Chorus Line

Last month, I was quite lucky considering I'm a student and went to go and see a few musicals and also Justin Bieber in concert!

The first thing I saw last month was Justin Bieber in concert at the O2 in London. Some of you are most probably thinking (if you dislike Justin Bieber) why the hell did you go and see him, and the reason for this is my housemate at uni Becca asked me to go with her as she is literally one of his biggest fans!

Luckily we didn't go on his first opening night where he came on stage an hour later or something rediculous, instead we went on the Thursday when he collapsed on stage! I've seen a lot of concerts at the o2 and his was probably one of my favourites that i've been too. The atmosphere that you get when your inside the actual arena is just amazing its completely buzzing which is what you want when you go to a concert. I do feel sorry for him, hes 19 and he is incredibly talented, he has a beautiful voice and he is an amazing dancer as well, and at that age to put on a performance that he did is incredible. He's an inspiration to his fans as well, telling them to believe in themselves and what they do to acheive things in life. And if you want to do well then you do have to "believe".

The o2 - Justin Bieber "Believe" tour.

Thriller -

My Mum's friend was over from Paris so my Mum wanted to take her friend to see a West End musical so we all decided on Thriller and we didn't regret this decission at all. I love going to see a good musical, it makes such a good evening its a bit pricey but its nice to do it now and again and if you go on lastminute.com and other similar websites you can get some great deals too!

I wanted to go and see it as a friend of mine from school Jordan Palmer is in it. (she wasn't in it when we went but she is now!) its quite a new musical to the West End and I think it will be around for sometime as its fantastic. Its based on the well-known, amazingly talented, Micheal Jackson and includes all his hit songs right from when he was in the Jackson 5. The whole cast are all incrdibly talented and the atmosphere which they create in the theatre is amazing as well the audience were getting up and dancing, it is deffinitely a "feel good" musical and I would recomend to go and see it especially if you are a Micheal Jackson fan!

A Chorus Line -

After going to see Thiller it got my mum & I in the mood to see another musical so we decided on A Chorus Line at the London Palladium. When we arrived at the Palladium we thought it was only right to have a glass of champagne to get us ready for the show!

We went to the matinee so there wasn't an interval half way through so if you do like a break I wouldn't recomend to see a matinee, however this wasn't a problem for us! It probably wasn't one of my favourite musicals that i've seen as I found it quite repetitive but thats not to say it wasn't good as all the cast members were all extremely talented. Its about people auditioning to be in a Broadway musical, its a chance of a lifetime for them and its the opportunity to do what they've always dreamed of doing that is to have the chance to dance.

The story is told through dancing, singing and acting, however some off it does get a bit repetitive so I would probably reccomend to go to the evening performance rather than the matinee

I've been a bit rubbish with updating my blog but hopefully I'm back into it now so there will be more things coming on here!
