Reflection..

This isn't my usual kind of blog post, but I am having one of those nights where you just think and look back on things. (One reason for me doing this is because I cannot sleep because of the loud music outside!) As most of you will know now, I am coming to the end of my time at uni which is literally the most scariest thing, and exciting at the same time.. If you have been to uni I am sure you will understand what I mean, when you have mixed emotions. But anyway..

There has been SO much in the news recently, about young children, teenagers, doing really nasty things to their teachers, which just should not happen to anyone. One story in particular which has shocked a number of people is the Ann Maguire case, and a more recent one of two kids putting bleach in their teachers cup of tea.

If you are still at school and reading this, and your not loving it, you think teachers are mean, and really strict, and you are sick to death of people telling you that school is the best time of your life because you don't see how it is even possible. I used to think the EXACT same. When I first started secondary school I wasn't a fan, I'm not going to lie, I went to a catholic all girls school, and by the time I reached year 9 I just new that school was not for me. I'm a very creative person.. Its completely fine to be like that and so I was lucky to be able to find a school after that which suited me perfectly which was going to a full time theatre school, so as well as the academic subjects I did vocational subjects 2 day a week which consisted off singing, acting and dancing.

I know, its not for everyone, and I know its not possible for everyone to go to a theatre school, but it is important that we all go to school and get as much out of it as you physically can, because if you don't you will regret it. I know it will not seem like that now. But 100% trust me on this one. When you are bored at school, or not enjoying it and you and your friends are mucking around, and your teacher tells you off, just remember they are not doing it to be horrible. They are doing it because they have your best interest at heart and they want you to do well in order to succeed. School is the first step, to the rest of your life, your career.

If you ask me or anyone I know, they will all say that they wish they were still at school. So do not wish it away. Enjoy every minute of it, make the most of it, don't make enemies with your teachers, be civil with them, make memories because you will be able to treasure them forever.  You may think that school, is pointless, boring, ect but in 5 years time after you have finished you won't. You will look back and be glad that you made the most of your school years, because believe me it goes by just like that!

Back to normality..:)

Hey Guys!!

Sorry I've been such a rubbish blogger at the minute.. Uni has literally been crazy! I've had so much work to do. I've finished my final major project now! (YAY)

It consisted of a 13 minute documentary, 10 minutes of audio, 36 images, and 4500 words.

My last deadline is on Friday. Its quite scary to think how quickly the last three years have gone and that soon I will be getting my first proper full time job. Something other than waitressing and bar work, which is scary but exciting.

I have been shopping recently. Been loving Primark at the minute. I never normally buy anything from there, which is probably down to the fact that it is always chaos! Especially the Oxford Street one in London. Anyway, I'm hoping to when I finish to do lots of outfit posts, maybe a haul. I want to spend more time blogging. What posts would you guys like to see?

Also I am doing race for life in 6 weeks time! So if you would like to sponsor me I would really appreciate it! you can do that HERE. I am raising money for Cancer Research. Any donation will help big or small and its for such an amazing cause.

Have any of you been doing exams? Or had lots of coursework?

My lip pet hate..

Hello Everyone! Hope your all okay :)

This is probably going to sound like a bit of a rant post.. However, its not intended to be so in advance I am very sorry if it is. I know most girls will agree with me when I say having dry, chapped lips is one of the worst things? If you think this, and get dry lips quite often then carry on reading...

Ever since about the age of 16 when my friend introduced me to this lip balm...

I have always gone out and brought it.. I've been using it a lot recently because for some reason my lips have been getting dry every few days.. One day they will be completely fine and then the next.. VOILA, they are dry again! SO frigging annoying. Anyway..

I used to think that Carmex was the best lip balm ever, no exaggeration. I used to love it. Theres something about the smell too. Im quite a big fan of it. However, the last few weeks when i've been using it on a daily basis. I've been some what disappointed with it and i've kind of lost my love for it? I don't feel that it works as good as what I need it to.

When I apply it to my dry lips. It sort of instantly makes them feel smooth and soft and completely normal, but then about an hour later after its worn of my lips they start to feel as if they are getting dry again.

I will probably carry on using this until I finish it, because I HATE wasting products too. But once I'm getting to the end of it I will think about purchasing something else within the lip balm department.

What Lip balms would you recommend?

That spring time feeling :)

Hello Everyone :)

Primark tights
Zara bag (old)
Hope your all okay :) In the last outfit post I did, I mentioned that I had taken a trip to New Look and brought a few pieces. I found this dress which I thought was an absolute bargain. The pictures don't do it justice (I was in a rush taking them so apologies for that! *bad blogger, slaps wrist*) Anyway its a lovely corally/pinky colour which I absolutely love and is perfect for spring! You can't really see in the picture but it has some gold zips which I think add a more sophisticated feel to the dress.

I wore this dress with THESE black boots from BOOHOO which I'm completely in love with. They are so comfy and the perfect height. When the weather gets a bit warmer here in the UK I would obviously get my legs out instead of wearing tights and I would probably wear sandals instead of boots.

At the moment I'm trying to get out of wearing disco pants and a top/jumper all the time. And jazz up my wardrobe a little bit by buying more dresses. I always have to wear something that is comfy I don't think there is anything worse than not being comfy in clothing, so I guess thats why I go for the easy option of leggings/disco pants and a top/jumper... But I'm being WILD and wearing more dresses at the moment... So look out for more outfit posts where I am NOT wearing disco pants/leggings and a comfy top!

Is there anything that you have brought recently that you thought was a complete bargain? Leave the links below!

Race for life.

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well. This is an unusual blog post and is going to be quite a short one. 3 years a go on Monday (just gone) I sadly lost my Grandma who was suffering from stomach cancer. Because of this, I am participating in race for life. I am SO unfit, so this is definitely going to be a challenge for me. If any of you want to sponsor me then I will leave the link below to my Just Giving page. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

As I start training for it I will probably start to do more healthy recipe ideas for you all and my training routine :) Let me know what you think! Are any of you doing race for life this year or have you done it?

New Look :)

Hello Everyone!

I know what your all thinking.. Where the hell have I been? If you've been following my blog for a while you will know that I am in my third year of uni! If you didn't know before you do now :) well anyway... How can I describe third year? Work work & more work. (Don't worry I have been going out too) But I haven't really brought anything new or been trying any new products.. BUT I went out this evening with my Mum for a cute little meal & I took a picture of what I was wearing so I thought I would blog about it...

Yes I did take the pictures on my phone instead of my Nikon. So I'm extremely sorry about the quality (and my odd socks! Do any of you wear odd socks or is it just me?) Anyway.. A few weeks ago when I popped into town with my friend she needed to take some stuff back to New Look. I've never really been a fan of New Look due to never finding things that I like in there, however, I found THIS top, for £9.99 which I thought was a complete bargain! Its so comfy and its just something you can wear for a casual look or if you wanted to dress it up a bit then you can wear it with disco pants and heels for a more comfy evening look.

When I was in New Look they also had some other nice items, however I had to resist.. But I might of brought a dress which Im completely in love with, so expect another outfit post quite soon. I teamed the top above with my urban outfitters disco pants. River Island cut out boots and my Zara bag for a casual evening look. :)

What have you been up to? What clothes have you recently brought?

Valentines day gift ideas..:)

Hello everyone! :)

As we all know valentines day is creeping up on us. If your like me and you have a boyfriend and haven't got a clue what you are going to get him, then fear no more.... I thought I would share with you some of my gift ideas.

I've been looking at quite a few of my favourite blogs and youtube channels to try and find some inspiration, however, I've been quite disappointed as they all seem to be gift ideas for girls, so I thought I would get on the Valentines day gift idea blog post bandwagon but do it for guys instead!

Im not one to spend loads on Valentines day presents, I think the day is hyped up a bit too much to be honest, and being a student as well I can't afford to spend loads. So all the gift ideas below are all under £25 so if you are a student like me they should be in your price range :)

What boy doesn't need boxer shorts? With every type of underwear (except bras) whether its socks, boxers, knickers, you name it, they always seem to go missing, its like the washing machine eats them up! I thought these ones from Topman were quite quirky and I love the colours on them.

I think this is such an amazing idea! If your boyfriend is anything like mine, he will get out of bed right at the last minute, has a quick shower, brushes teeth, does his hair, whacks on some clothes and VOILA.. He's out of the door. Craig rarely its any breakfast before work, and I think if he was to have these in his life it would entice him into having breakfast in the morning. I wouldn't mind these breakfast to go pots for my self!

If your really stuck on what to get your boyfriend/husband/fiance I always find things like belts are my 'go to' presents if Im really stuck, whether its for my dad, boyfriend or brother. You can't go wrong with a nice belt. With this one being £15 I would say its a bit of a bargain.

I love the colour of this jumper. I always think burgundy colours suit people with brown hair. (Craig has brown hair) however, if your not a fan of burgundy then this jumper comes in different colours too. If you live in the UK you will know that the weather hasn't been at its best recently, saying that when is it during the winter months? This jumper would be perfect in order to keep your boyfriend nice and warm!

I saw this, and I had to double check that I read the price right. What guy doesn't love beer? My boyfriend and myself find things like this really interesting. I think this is such a nice idea if your one of those types of people who like being out and about doing different things. Its in Oxfordshire, so it may be too far for some people to travel, but if you don't live too far away then why not make a day of it? If your like me and Craig and can't spend Valentines day together because your working or something, this would be a good way to celebrate valentines day followed by a lovely meal nearby?

I think the majority of iPhone users will know that they tend to get cracked screens very easily after being dropped. This has happened to me with 2 of my old iPhones.. (Yes I am clumsy) If your boyfriend has an iPhone then why not get him a case to protect it? He will thank you when he drops his phone and it doesn't break!

I hope this has given you all some inspiration! Have you got any plans for Valentines day? I would love to know! Also if you have any gift ideas leave them in the comments below!

My favourite perfume :) Valentines day gift idea..

 Hello Everyone!

Sorry I've done another disappearing act for a week or two! I have a deadline on Monday for my FMP at uni. So I'm sure you will be able to forgive me! Hope you are all okay anyway!

I am a huge perfume lover, I can't go a day without wearing any. As soon as I get out of the shower I spray some perfume on me. I just find that it completes my getting ready process. I personally think I have quite a big perfume collection, some which I brought years ago, and when I say years a go I mean it. Despite this, until now there hasn't been one that I absolutely love and would repurchase except for this little beauty. Which is a perfume by Chloe. I am literally in love with it. its such a fresh, amazing smell. Its one of those perfumes which you can wear day and evening. Its everything I ever want in a perfume. For a perfume I do think its quite expensive being £57.50, however, to me, it is definitely worth every penny.

If you are after a new perfume why not give this one ago? you can buy it HERE from Boots. Whats your favourite perfume? Leave me a comment in the box below with your beauty recommendations!

What I'm wearing - Zara polka dot dress #2

Hello Everyone! Hope your all well :)

I'm back at uni this week for my final ever term which is quite petrifying. However Im just going to work hard and do my best because once its all over there is no going back (eekkk), if any of you guys are in your final year and final term then I wish you all the very best of luck!

On Sunday night, it was my boyfriends work party. I have never been to one of his before so I wasn't too sure what to wear. I didn't really want to go out and buy anything because being a student, I can't really afford too.  However, my boyfriend (Craig) did get me a dress from Zara which I thought would be perfect for the occasion.

Zara polka dot dress - £15.99

Where it is quite cold in England at the moment especially at night, I thought the dress would be perfect as it has long sleeves, and you can wear the dress with tights. Im a sucker for clothes with a collar, so I absolutely LOVE this dress. You can dress it up or down, depending on occasion by teaming it with a pair of heels or a nice pair of flats/boots. Its such as a comfy dress too which makes you want to wear it all the time. So this dress is definitely going to be staying in my wardrobe for a long time!

Are there any dresses that you have seen on the high-street that you like?

Zara Bold & Blue..

Hello Everyone!

Its been a long time since I've done an outfit post. So I thought this week I would treat you all too one! Last night I went out for drinks with my friends to ave a little catch up and I thought I would wear one of my new tops which I got for Christmas from my parents.

I thought this top would go really nicely with some disco pants or a pair of black jeans, so I opted for the disco pants! I also teamed it with my gold chunky chain River Island necklace which I have worn in previous blog posts as I thought it would make the top more of a statement.

I love the colour of this top its such a bold, blue colour and really makes you stand out. I got so many compliments on it, and you can glam it up with accessories and heals and a nice black clutch bag.

Top - Zara ( Xmas present)
Black disco pants - Urban Outfitters (old) Similar HERE £12

As I've sprained my ankle (bad times) I couldn't wear heels last night so I wore my River Island cut out ankle boots instead which my boyfriend kindly got me for Christmas. With tops like this one you can either dress it up or down. So its good for a daytime outfit and then if you are going out for drinks in the evening you can dress it up too.

Did you get any clothes for christmas that you love? Would you like to see more outfit posts?

New year. Feeling fresh :) Storage tips #1

Happy new year everyone :)

I know its a bit late but better late than never! I hope you all enjoyed the festive season as much as I did. Some of you may be wondering why I haven't blogged in such a long time? The reason being is due to lots of uni assignments and deadlines just before Christmas & New Year which meant lots of stress and running around like a headless chicken getting last minute Christmas presents. But fear not, because I am back :) and hopefully more regularly now as well :).

As its the start of a new year (even though were 10 days in already)I always find theres nothing better than starting the new year being organised. Im the worst for organisation skills however this year I thought I would spend the first few days of 2014 organising my bedroom, my make-up, uni work ect, in hope that it would help me throughout the year. SO I started off with my make-up and I thought I would share it with you to help you guys out if you want to get organised this year :)

A few weeks ago just before Christmas, I was having a casual browse in TK Maxx and i spotted this floral tin, it reminded me a bit of the Kath Kidston collection. Being your standard 22 year old girl, I have collected a fair few nail polishes over the years and I find them scattered all over the place at home, at my uni house, so I thought this would be perfect to store them in & at £3 you can't really go wrong..

Not only is it good for storing nail polishes or lipsticks whatever you fancy putting in it, its also very attractive looking and looks amazing on my dressing table and adds a vintage touch which I personally love. If you fancy one of these yourself take a trip to TK Maxx and have a little browse they are SO good for little bits like this at reasonable prices too.

How do you store your makeup? If you would like to see more of these posts let me know in the comments below, I'm thinking of maybe doing them on a weekly basis on how I store and organise different bits & bobs. Let me know your thoughts!
